One of the most important parts of a vacation is getting some much-needed relaxation. While enjoying your stay at Myrtle Beach’s The Strand Resort, what better way to rejuvenate than sipping on a glass of wine while overlooking the beautiful Atlantic Ocean?

But before popping that cork, make sure you have the perfect wine for you! The Grand Strand offers a wide range of options to meet the needs of wine lovers. With so many different local wines to choose from, you are sure to find one suited to your taste. So stop by some of these top wine-tasting spots to find your perfect glass:

Located next to Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach, you will find Duplin Winery, the largest winery in the South. Duplin, which makes America’s favorite muscadine wine, is ready to entertain you and your friends while educating you about the different wine-making methods. Here, you can sample some of your favorite types of wine, watch the bottling process and shop for wine accessories in the retail store. Wine tastings are offered Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m., all year long. You will leave with some newly gained knowledge about the Duplin family’s history, along with — if you’d like — an indulgent bottle of wine to savor back at your hotel room.

Just a short drive from The Strand, also at Barefoot Landing, you will find Carolina Vineyards Winery. This winery prides itself on producing wine from many of the fruits grown in South Carolina. Weather you prefer your wine dry, semi-dry, medium or sweet, they’ve got you covered! The tasting room at this fine winery is open seven days a week, starting at 10 a.m. each day. Any of the wines you see are available for tasting, and for a total of $4, you can try seven different wines and get your very own glass featuring the winery logo. Carolina Vineyards Winery is ready for you to come “taste the flavors of the south” — and hopefully take a bottle or two home with you!

A little further north up the coast, you will find La Belle Amie Vineyard in Little River. This operating vineyard is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can visit the tasting room and gift shop, but for something a little different, join others for live music and fun at Wine Wednesday or Wine Down Fridays. When there is cooler weather, the vineyard even has bonfires in the afternoon! For a total of $5, you can sample any six wines of your choice and keep your logo wine glass. That will definitely come in handy when you head back to The Strand to watch the beautiful sunset from your balcony while sipping on a refreshing glass of vino. Not to mention, on Wine Wednesday, tastings are half price all day long!

While on vacation at The Strand, Myrtle Beach, don’t forget to pick up your favorite bottle of wine and pour yourself a glass while taking in the breathtaking views from your room!
