The Book on Freebies for You on the Grand Strand

The money we spend buying things from Myrtle Beach merchants isn’t unlimited. When travelers budget for a trip, it’s nice to have a few items that won’t dig into the funds. That’s why it’s helpful to know where the freebies are waiting for you.

You can find some on the Grand Strand.

We’ve compiled this list of freebies to consider on your next trip. Myrtle Beach has always been a great place to find such things. But first, here’s a little advice for planning a beach trip on a budget.

Tips for planning a beach trip on a budget

There are places to help you get the most out of your budget. Planning a vacation gets easier when you know! Try some of these.

  1. Plan your activities

For a group or even a family, find out what they want to do most. Desires might be easy to appease, such as great beach access or an on-site breakfast.

  1. Save ahead

The average family of four will need about $4,500 for a beach getaway. Families vary, so find your figure, and see how long you’ll need to save.

  1. Tether your floatables

Avoid the cost of replacing these items — and the tears little ones might shed if the wind carries them off to sea. Tether them with a stake and string of rope or twine.
