Yo, ho, ho, mateys! Putting a unique spin on Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol,” the Pirates Voyage Christmas Show uses its pirate cast and crew to stage an especially entertaining retelling of the tale of Mr. Scrooge and his quest to discover the true meaning of Christmas. In this epic journey through time and space — the likes of which you’d be hard-pressed to find anywhere else, even if you and your family sailed all the seven seas — Captain Scrooge recounts his cutthroat career while attempting to put his pirating days behind him.
Along the way, of course, the show’s renowned mermaids, acrobats, live animals, cannons, singing, dancing and high-diving take center stage as the Crimson and Emerald pirate crews battle for the coveted Christmas treasure on land, on deck, in the lagoon and high above a pair of full-sized pirate ships. Further attractions include a collection of giant Christmas toys coming to life, a comical castaway and her sea lion companion, a Christmas angel paying a visit, and a live nativity scene featuring the Three Wise Men on their camels and conveying the true reason for the season.
Attendees best arrive hungry, as they’ll also be treated to a four-course holiday feast while taking in all the swashbuckling action. The delicious menu options include a Half Roasted Cackler (Chicken), the Captain’s BBQ Pork, Voyager Creamy Vegetable Soup, Cob O’ Buttery Corn, Pirate Herb-Roasted Potato, Buccaneer Bread, and unlimited soft drinks, tea or coffee, plus Apple O’ My Eye Pie for dessert.
