One Way to Spend 7 Delightful Days in Myrtle Beach

Want to capture the essence of your Myrtle Beach vacation?

If you’ve got a week, it’s definitely possible. You’ll want a mix of adventure and leisure. And a dinner, al fresco.

We have your itinerary for fun right here — but first, did you know this about the Grand Strand?

A timeline for a fun week in Myrtle Beach

The seven-day forecast: 100% chance of fun. Here’s how.

DAY 1: THE BEACH

It’s the centerpiece of your getaway, after all. Settle into your condo or suite, get into your flip-flops and hat, and hit the shore. Don’t forget the sunscreen.

DAY 2: SEE A SHOW AT LEGENDS IN CONCERT THEATRE

You’re in for a fantastic performance from some of the most talented performers in the area. Arrive early at Legends in Concert Theatre for a chance at selfies with (cutouts of) the stars. See shows in tribute to stars such as Bruno Mars, Elvis, Luke Bryan, and more.

PRO TIP: Bring the kids! It’s appropriate for families, and they’ll have a blast.

DAY 3: A TOUR OF BROOKGREEN GARDENS

This sculpture garden and wildlife preserve also include the Lowcountry Zoo. Brookgreen Gardens is such a lovely place to spend a day, and you’ll want to devote most of one to it. Daily admission tickets are good for seven consecutive days, so you can come back.

PRO TIP: See the gardens after dark in Summer Light: Art by Night. Lighting features 800 upcycled chandeliers and 900 wine-bottle alcoves to illuminate the grounds.

DAY 4: A VISIT TO BAREFOOT LANDING

It’s a very cool place in North Myrtle Beach for fun, food, and drinks. At Barefoot Landing, shop for candles in Wax & Beyond and bamboo creations in Cariloha. Stop for street tacos in LandShark Bar & Grill or a delicious pie in California Pizza Kitchen. Grab a sweet treat at Byrd’s Famous Cookies or fudge at The Fudgery.

PRO TIP: Ready for a bit of adventure? How about a visit to Alligator Adventure? You’ll see some incredible animals beyond gators here!

DAY 5: DINNER AT MURRELLS INLET

Dinner on the waterfront sounds perfect, doesn’t it? Restaurants here have unique offerings, gorgeous views, and live music. Try Drunken Jack’s for New England Clam Chowder, Fantail Shrimp, and Chef Casey’s Risotto. How about Crab House Almost Famous Rum Punch and a Ribeye Dinner at Inlet Crab House & Raw Bar?

PRO TIP: Swing by Lazy Gator Gifts for your fix of beach gifts and Murrells Inlet shirts and caps. It’s a cool little shop.

DAY 6: TAKE IN A SHOW AT CAROLINA OPRY

Music lovers: This is the venue for you, with the shows that’ll evoke so many memories. One easy-to-overlook aspect: Carolina Opry has ample seating, and it’s very comfortable.

PRO TIP: Make plans to see the theater’s namesake show, Carolina Opry. This longstanding performance evolves yearly. It blends high-energy music, comedy, and dance as only Carolina Opry can.

DAY 7: SEE THE STARS AT HOLLYWOOD WAX MUSEUM

Not all generations will grasp how cool a place like this really is. Hollywood Wax Museum is at Broadway at the Beach, and the figures’ detail will amaze you. Such detail! It makes for entertaining photos and wonderful memories. Mingle with sports champs, Hollywood stars, and kings of the stage.

PRO TIP: Grab pizza and drinks at the nearby Mellow Mushroom.
